Privacy policy

Yapsheet grades the predictions people post and ranks how often they're right. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you control.
What we collect
- Your X account, if you sign in with X: your X user ID, handle, display name, profile photo and email (if X shares it). We get read-only access. We never post, like, follow or message for you.
- Your posts that look like predictions. We read posts you authored on X, keep the ones that look like takes, and grade them. We don't keep your other posts.
- Your email, if you sign in with a magic link.
- Uploads you choose to make. X archives and chat exports are read on your own device. Only messages and posts that look like takes are sent to us, plus a count of how many messages each person in a chat sent. We store chat participants as an anonymous label (like “Friend A”) and a scrambled identifier, never their phone number or email.
- Basic usage data, like which pages are visited and when a share card is shared, to run and improve the service. Vercel Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies. If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics also sets cookies to measure how the site is used; change your choice any time with “Cookie choices” in the footer. We store a scrambled version of your IP address to prevent abuse of free features.
- Payment details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
What's public
Your profile, graded takes, scores and ranks are public by default, with links back to the original posts. You can make your profile private at any time. Takes from group chats are only visible inside that group, never on public leaderboards. We also grade the public posts of a small list of public figures, such as sports analysts and media personalities.
What we never do
- Sell or license your data, or anyone's X posts, to anyone.
- Use your posts or scores to target ads.
- Infer sensitive traits like health, religion, politics or sexuality.
- Use X posts to train AI models.
Who helps us run it
We use service providers to host and run Yapsheet: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting and page counts), Google Analytics (only if you accept cookies), Stripe (payments), an email provider, and AI providers that read take text to classify and grade it. They only process data to provide their service to us.
Your choices
- Delete your account and we delete your posts, takes and scores.
- If you delete a post on X or make your account protected, we delete our copy of it promptly.
- Disconnect X at any time in your X settings under connected apps.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.
Age
Yapsheet isn't for anyone under 13, and paid features require you to be 18 or have a parent's permission.
Changes and contact
